POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Investment Analyst will serve as the key point person for the Investment Management and Research Team. The position requires a passion for investing and solid knowledge of global financial markets. This individual should have a keen interest in investment research, supporting manager research, idea and data management, client reporting, and portfolio management functions.  The Senior Investment Analyst will also serve as a key subject matter expert to Advisor team leadership

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guide investment research and due diligence of separate accounts, mutual funds, ETFs and others

  • Integrate key partner research in alternatives and private assets to produce a cohesive research effort for advisors

  • Allocation research for dynamic and strategic portfolio positions, including asset classes, segments, and sectors

  • Work closely with the lead advisors and other members of the investment management and research team to provide world class service to our clients

  • Operate and continually update the fund/manager selection process and platforms with the use of a thorough and systematic approach.

  • Act as a liaison and a product expert for our clients

  • Develop client relationships, coordinate and present portfolio reviews with prospective/ current clients.

  • Lead the traditional Investment Research team process with portfolio construction and asset allocation

  • Client reporting support and data management

  • Investment and operational projects as needed

  • Identify workflow/system improvements and work to enact changes

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field

  • Series 7 and 66 registration (or successful completion of both within 120 days of hire) or series 65 registration

  • 5+ years of experience in an investment analyst position, with experience in asset allocation research and decision-making

  • 5+ years of experience in a trading/due diligence/operational role for a financial services firm

  • Basic data analytics. Ability to analyze and interpret data

  • Basic programming or scripting knowledge is a big plus

  • Working knowledge of SQL (ability to understand data structures and write code in SQL to extract information) is preferred

  • Student of the Financial Services Industry and Capital Markets

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills

  • Superb critical thinking ability and demonstrated leadership experience

  • Demonstrates ownership of tasks and projects

  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through

  • A high degree of professionalism and work ethic

  • High integrity and positive attitude

 

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with financial platforms and core investment software (e.g., Morningstar Direct, Fidelity WealthScape, Bloomberg, Orion, Blackdiamond, Adhesion, Albridge, eMoney)
